8 November 2019Michał Rozmys – It was a good season

On Thursday our headquarters was visited by Michał Rozmys – an athlete we strongly support. Especially after a difficult but successful season.

A young record holder

Michał has many successes and several records. He is the gold (2017) and bronze (2016) medalist of the 800 meters race during the Polish senior championships. In 2017, he won the bronze medal at the 1500m European Junior Championships. Michał is also a Polish youth record holder in the 1500 meters race with a time of 3: 36.37 and a semi-finalist of the world championships in the 800 and 1500 meters race in London.

Michał’s life records are:

  • 2018 – 800 meter race (stadium) – 1: 45.31
  • 2019 – 800 meters (hall) – 1,47,29
  • 2017 – Run at 1500 meters (stadium) – 3: 36.37
  • 2019 – 1500m race (hall) – 3: 38.53

The latter is the second result in the history of Polish athletics!

Gold medal at military games

It was a huge success to win the gold medal during the 7th World Military Sports Games in China. The Wuhan Games have brought many medals to Poles, and most of them in athletics. Michał Rozmys won two individual competitions: in the 800 and 1500 meters race.

Congratulations!

Victory in Naples

Michał also brought the gold medal from Naples, where in July this year took place the 30th FISU Universiade. In the 1500-meter run, Michał beat his rivals in the last 300 meters, covering this distance in less than 39 seconds. He finished the race in 3: 53.67, winning the gold medal.

I am very happy that I was able to accomplish what we set up with coach Jacek Kostrzeba. I relied on his experience completely. This is my first gold medal at such an event. It's definitely one of my most important achievements so far in my career
– he commented just after the winning run.

We wish you even more success and look forward to the next season full of emotions!
